if you pull that string one more time, i’m gonna kill you.
Cursed object, Sam.
#abundantly sad #because this just another example of all the desires and interests dean was forced to ignore and sublimate #in order to be the ‘kind of man’ his father expected him to be #and sometimes my heart just breaks for the child that dean was never allowed to be #the child that probably had divorced parents sure because john and mary’s marriage wasn’t doing great before she died #but he probably lived with his mom and his little brother #and he got to take ballet lessons because he wanted to #and ended up being pretty good and getting a lot of balance and strength out of it #which helped for things like LARPing #and he was kind of a huge geek in school #but he did really well in class #because dean winchester has read things like the odyssey and kurt vonnegut carefully enough to be able to reference them easily #and he actually did remember when Sam was talking about the Roanoke colony so he listened in history class #and he is amazing at electronics and physics and mechanics #because he made his own EMF meter out of a wakman and can fix cars like there’s no tomorrow #and he goes to star trek conventions #and plays dungeons and dragons with his friends benny and charlie#and he’s fairly openly bisexual and okay with it #and he’s far from perfect #he’s still never quite sure if he’s good enough #and he’s over protective of his little brother #and he sometimes tries too hard #and struggles with his identity and stuff#because his dad told him he had to look after sammy and be a big boy right before he moved away #and his dad isn’t really in his life because he has a new family in minnesota #but he’s got an unofficial dad/uncle in Bobby Singer #and Ellen is pretty much like an aunt #and Jo is like a sister to him #and he’s maybe a little bit in love with the awkward guy Cas #but they’re friends and it’s never going to go anywhere (dubiousculturalartifact)
So, what changed your mind?
Honestly? The damnedest thing. I mean, the world’s ending. The walls are coming down on us, and I look over to you and all I can think about is, “this stupid son of a bitch brought me here.” I just didn’t want to let you down.
Watching the Supernatural episode titles develop is hilarious
I mean at first they’re all like
“oh yes we’re very informative and deep and simple all at the same time”
“you know what we’re bored let’s be a bit sarcastic and reference-y”
“YAY EVERYONE LIKES ALLITERATION LET’S HAVE A PARTY”
